BC Vaccine Card

Provided by Government of British Columbia

A document that shows the cardholders COVID-19 vaccine status and allows individuals to access services throughout B.C.
The BC Vaccine Card will allow vaccinated people to conveniently and securely show their proof of vaccination at higher-risk social and recreational events and settings.

You can save the digital version to your phone or tablet or print a paper copy to carry in your wallet. Both options are accepted everywhere. To get a vaccine card, follow these steps:
  • Step 1 Log-in securely: To log-in securely, you need to provide your date of birth, Personal Health Number (PHN), and date you got dose 1 or dose 2.
  • Step 2 Save or print: After you've securely logged in, you have 2 options, 1) Save a digital copy of your card to your phone or tablet. We recommend saving to your photo album or downloads folder or 2) Print a paper copy and keep it with you. You can save or print a card for yourself or someone else, like a youth or parent.
  • Step 3 Show your card: Have your card ready when entering a business. They'll look at your vaccine card and also check your government ID.

Individuals who can’t access the electronic BC Vaccine Card can ask a friend, family member or support person to print their BC Vaccine Card for them, visit a Service BC office, or call 1 833 838-2323 to receive a copy in the mail.

Businesses will be able to download a reader app (BC Vaccine Card verifier app) from the Google and Apple app stores, to securely read the QR code to determine a person’s proof of vaccination. No personal information will be retained in the app.

As of Sept. 13, 2021, people in British Columbia will be required to present their BC Vaccine Card showing partial vaccination (Dose 1) to access certain businesses and events. As of Oct. 24, 2021, people in British Columbia will be required to present their BC Vaccine Card showing they are fully vaccinated with two doses of COVID-19 vaccine to access the same list of businesses and events. The requirement will be time limited through to Jan. 31, 2022, subject to possible extension.
